By default, GoPrep supports specific Dymo and Avery label sizes (check this article for more information). These come pre-formatted, meaning the label width, height, font size, weight, and layout are optimized to work right out of the box.
However, if you don’t have one of the supported labels or want further customization options, you can enable the Custom Label Builder feature by switching the toggle on the Labels Settings window.
When enabled, this will add additional settings for each label element, giving you control over the format of what appears on the label.
What you can customize
With the Custom Label Builder, you can:
Adjust the font size (starting at 4 px), font family, and font weight/boldness (from 100 to 900) for elements like customer name, meal titles, nutrition info, macros, and more.
Resize your logo by adjusting its width. The system assumes the logo is square, so the height will scale automatically.
Resize your Nutrition Facts label, from 50% to 100%.
Define the width and height of the labels and set margins (top, bottom, left, right) in inches.
Things to keep in mind
Designing custom labels is often an iterative process. You may need to test and adjust settings multiple times before finding the layout that works best with your label printer and paper. The Preview button is helpful for checking changes as you go.
⚠️While this feature gives you complete freedom to design your own labels, support for it is limited. Since we don’t have access to every type of label printer and paper size, we can’t replicate all setups on our end.
For this reason, we recommend using the pre-formatted label sizes whenever possible. Custom labels should mainly be used if you need specific formatting or your label size is not supported.
