What does the Ingredients Production report show?

The Ingredients Production report show all of the ingredients you need to order or prepare for a specified date range. This is perfect to prevent under or over-buying.

You can get Ingredients Production report from the Production page > Ingredients tab or the Reports page > Kitchen Preparation section.

Go to the Kitchen Preparation section, select Ingredients Production, select the Delivery date range you're interested in and then Print or Export (CSV and XLS format).

The first thing you will notice is that the page itself is already giving you an ingredients report.

The Ingredients tab allows you to change the unit used to display values in the Ingredients Production report. 

For example, if an ingredient is shown in large amounts in grams, you can switch it to kilograms for easier readability. This does not affect the ingredient itself, only how the information is displayed.

Under Quantity Required, you will see two values (as shown in the image). The bold value is the total amount of the ingredient you need to purchase.

The value in parentheses represents the net amount after trimming or cooking, based on the Yield %.

The Yield is set to 100% by default, but you can adjust it per ingredient. To do this, click Manage Ingredients, which will take you to the Inventory page > Ingredients tab. Find the ingredient, click Edit, enter the desired yield percentage, and save.

You can also Print or Export (CSV and XLS format) the Ingredients Production report from the Production page > Ingredients tab.
