How to set up the Cut Off Period?
Where you can set up the Cut Off period will change depending on your Transfer Days Allowance and Transfer Day Rules settings.
If you have selected Multiple Days Per Order or Different Rules, then you must set up the Cut Off Period for each delivery/pickup day, under the Settings > Transfer Days tab.
Otherwise, you can set up the Cut Off Period in the Settings > Orders tab.
How does it work?
There are 2 types of Cut Off Periods: Timed and Single Day.
Single Day
If you choose Single Day, you will lock in orders for all your delivery/pickups on the same day and hour. For example, your delivery days are Monday and Wednesday, and you set the Cut Off day to Friday at 12:00 PM. This locks in orders for both Monday and Wednesday on Friday at 12:00 PM.
Timed
Count backward from the delivery/pickup day to figure out its cut-off time. The day begins at 12:00 AM.
Please remember that the Cut Off Period doesn't take into consideration your delivery/pickup time. This means that the Enable Delivery/Pickup Hours in the image below have no effect on the Cut Off Period calculation.
Let's give you an example:
Your store has Saturdays as Pickup days, you've selected 9:00 AM as the starting time in the Enable Pickup Hours settings and you want to lock in orders on Wednesday at 9:00 AM.
If you set the Cut Off Period to 3 days, this will lock in orders on Wednesday at 12:00 AM, without taking into consideration the Enable Pickup hours we mentioned before.
So, to lock in orders on Wednesday at 9:00 AM, you'd have to deduct 9 hours from those 3 days, which will leave you with 2 days and 15 hours.
Just in case, the Cutoff(s) will be displayed on your Settings page, on the Orders and Transfer Days tab.
